Arcàdia is an editorial imprint created with the purpose of offering a catalogue of chosen essays open to all fields of knowledge that contributes to the history of ideas and its contemporary manifestations. In 2014 Arcàdia incorporated a collection of children’s books, ‘la meva arcàdia’, to encourage critical thinking among younger readers.

In addition to the publishing work, Arcàdia organizes lectures, debates and courses in collaboration with cultural institutions such as the Universitat de Girona, the Fundación Casademont, the Fundació ‘La Caixa’, the Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera, the Fundació Collserola, the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, the Museu d’Història de la Ciutat de Barcelona, the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona, among others.

Arcàdia was founded in Barcelona in 2004 by Montse Ingla, Antoni Munné and Antonio Ramírez.

Marc Ingla, Daphne & Josephine, and Arkitektura MV Galeria 2 are benefactors of Arcàdia who have helped to make possible some of the books in the catalogue.
