Carles Capdevila

Capdevila, Carles

Born in Els Hostalets de Balenyà in 1965. He studied philosophy and journalism and is the director of the newspaper Ara since its release in november 2010. He is professor of media and communication in the University of Barcelona. He has written for the Avui, El Periódico and El9Nou. He has a wide experience in radio: he has directed and presented programs such as «Eduqueu les criatures» (prize Ràdio Associació 2010 to the best radio program in Catalonia) and «Alguna Pregunta Més». He was the creator and first director of «APM» for television, where he also presented the program «Qui els va parir» and has been a scriptwriter in various places.

He is the autor of books such as Nova York a la catalana (1996), Criatura i companyia (Premi Pere Quart d'Humor i Sàtira 1999), and Jo vull ser famós (2002). He has participated in the short stories collections El Barça o la vidaTocats d’amor and Adéu, Pujol. He has also written the short stories  of the collection «Una mirada al món», of Les tres bessones.
